FSO Project

Building an AI-Enabled Workforce: Impacts for FTB Education and Training

Last updated: 16 April 2025

PROJECT COMPLETED

Overview

Generative AI significantly impacts the industries, occupations, and training products overseen by the FSO.

The FSO’s previous AI research found that of all the training packages, finance, ICT and business are most likely to be impacted.

An understanding of how generative AI adoption is reshaping tasks and skills across industries is key for the FSO to pinpoint necessary updates and address gaps in finance, tech, and business training products.

This will assist the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector to provide learners with the necessary skills for success in the workplace.

This research will include insights into:

·       Generative AI adoption in the finance, tech and business workplace.

·       The skills and occupations most impacted by generative AI.

·       The skills needed to implement and utilise generative AI.

Deliverables

Deliverables include:

  • a research report

  • roadmap of changes to guide areas for training product development
