Tim Kane is a Senior Economist at the Committee for Economic Development of Australia, where he focuses on labour markets, skills, and migration. Tim has extensive experience across Australian Government departments, including as The Department of Education’s Senior Economic Advisor, and lead economic modeller for the Vocational Education and Training Funding Reform Taskforce. He has also been an adviser to the Minister for Education with a focus on higher education and skills. Tim holds a Master of Applied Economics from the Australian National University and Bachelor of Business (Economics) from the University Technology Sydney.
