Project Overview
Anticipated Commencement Date: February 2025
Anticipated Completion Date: November 2026
This training product development activity will create new training products in digital capability.
In recognition of the urgent need for digital capability uplift, this project will trial and evaluate the delivery of digital capability training products through a Training Product Trial to address the need for suitable training solutions. This training will be made available concurrently as the training product development process continues as per the Training Package Organisation Framework (TPOF) requirements.
Background Information
The FSO Workforce Plan highlights the urgent need to enhance digital skills across all sectors in Australia, emphasising the importance for the economy, workforce adaptability, and productivity growth. Digital skills are essential not only in the workplace but also for personal development in work, learning, and life. There is a need for a consistent approach to digital capability development across the education and training system.
The process to update the training products will adhere to the Training Package Organising Framework (TPOF) (1 July 2025).
Consultation and Feedback
The Future Skills Organisation (FSO) will develop a Consultation Strategy as part of the Project Plan. This strategy will involve various consultation methods.
The TPOF details the requirements for the process of development and endorsement including the establishment of a Technical Committee. The composition of the Technical Committee is detailed in the TPOF and must be followed to ensure representation is consistent across all training product projects.
We will call for Expressions of Interest for the Technical Committee in March 2025.
