Sebastian has extensive experience in public policy, specialising in the intersection of industry, science, and technology. His previous roles include serving as Lead Technology Adviser in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, as well as holding various positions at the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources. He began his career in the Victorian Department of Education.

Currently, Sebastian is the Talent and Skills Policy Manager at the Tech Council of Australia, where he shapes policies to support the growth of Australia’s technology sector. His work focuses on advocating for innovative strategies to strengthen the nation’s tech workforce pipeline.

Sebastian is on the FSO Strategic Advisory Committee.
