We’re working to grow the general digital capability skills needed by everyone across the economy, develop the generalist skills required for an evolving job market, enhance the relevance of specialist training to keep up with changing needs and scale capabilities for a skills-driven future.

Workforce Planning
Workforce planning is a core responsibility. It provides the evidence base to understand current, emerging and future workforce challenges and opportunities and is used to drive our program of activities.

Training Product Development
We are responsible for maintaining the FNS, ICT and BSB training packages to ensure they are up to date and relevant.
Our approach to training product development is rooted in our Workforce Plan. We are creating training products that are responsive and adaptable to the evolving needs of the modern workforce and can be readily delivered by training providers.
To validate effectiveness, we pilot emerging products and test innovative approaches, driven by the requirements of industry.
Implementation, Promotion & Monitoring (IPM)
We partner with training providers and organisations to align workforce planning objectives and national training x with careers advice and ‘on the ground’ training delivery.
Industry Stewardship
We act as the voice of industry to drive skills needs back into the training and education system.
At the core of our approach lies active listening and comprehensive consultation, followed by prompt action.
