KICKSTART AN EXCITING CAREER!

Digital roles are in demand

Every industry is hiring digital roles, not just tech companies. Healthcare, construction, government, finance, creative, retail and more all need people in digital roles. From game design and UX to digital marketing, cybersecurity, data analytics and AI strategy, students have a wide variety of career options to consider in every industry of their choice.

Digital careers aren’t just for STEM students

Today’s digital roles demand creativity, communication and problem-solving just as much as technical skills. Your visual thinkers? They could thrive in digital design or game development. Natural communicators? Digital marketing is calling. Students who love puzzles? Data analytics and cybersecurity offer endless challenges.

There's no single right way in

Whatever your student’s career plans, learning style, timeline or budget, there’s a flexible pathway that fits – from VET qualifications and traineeships to short courses, microcredentials, industry certifications or degrees.

Backed by industry, government
and the training sector

Let’s Get Digital brings together employers, training providers and government partners to build awareness of digital careers and the skills pathways that lead to them. A growing group of organisations, including employers, training providers, industry bodies and government agencies, are backing the 20% Alternative Pathways Pledge, a commitment to open more digital entry-level roles to people coming through non-traditional pathways such as VET, traineeships and micro-credentials. They support this by hiring, enabling or advocating.

This campaign is delivered through FSO’s Digital Knowledge Exchange (DKX) program, in collaboration with the NSW Digital Skills and Workforce Compact, an initiative of the NSW Department of Education.
