VET qualifications in marketing and communications, conveyancing and insurance broking may be most impacted by generative AI

Building on the FSO’s initial report into generative AI, ‘Impact of generative AI on skills in the workplace’, the FSO has been examining how the training system should prioritise its response to the impact of this emerging technology on finance, technology and business training products. 

Report findings 

Generative AI will have a significant impact on finance, technology and business occupations and qualifications. 

When prioritising qualifications in response to generative AI’s impact, the report considered:

The following qualifications were identified as likely to be most impacted by AI:

BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communication 

BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication 

BSB60220 Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing 

FNS51220 Diploma of Insurance Broking 

The report seeks to assist the FSO to prioritise areas for attention when collaborating with training providers and industry to help ensure finance, tech and business VET qualifications reflect the needs of the economy.
